Growing up was never an easy path for me. At age 16, I left school to support my family by working construction sites; although it was challenging at the time, this experience shaped my future in ways I couldn't have anticipated.
Every day on those sites I learned something new; insulation particularly fascinated me as more than just material - to me it represented protection and efficiency - both qualities I wanted to bring into the world one day.
At 20, I made an enormous leap. Driven by passion for insulation, I moved to Nanjing with only determination as my guide. Starting small was tough - selling insulation door-to-door was often met with rejection but each no only strengthened my resolve further and each sale felt like one step towards my dream.
In 2006, I finally established my own company - Hairui Insulation, from Hai Rui, a respected Ming Dynasty official recognized for his integrity. I believe that trust is fundamental in business, which is why I chose this name.
Since then, our business has flourished: from one small office to possessing our own manufacturing lines. Though still not a large company in scale, I'm proud of what has been achieved so far but always try to remain grounded.
Today I'm expanding beyond China with Hairui. After 18 years, we now have experience that can be shared globally and my goal is for Hairui to become a trusted partner to businesses around the globe when making decisions regarding insulation solutions.
My team and I are ready for the future. We don't just sell products; we develop relationships. Through one project at a time, we work to make buildings more energy-efficient and comfortable around the globe.
Since leaving construction sites behind me, it's been an incredible journey - yet in many ways I remain that same kid, excited about insulation's potential to change lives.
